The Energy Storage Modules database has a special "(auto)"
option for the "NumESM" and "NumExM" filters.
"(auto)" means the solutions list will include only the
combination(s) that use the least number of modules that meet the
application requirements.
For most cases, "NumESM" and "NumExM" filters using "(auto)" is
recommended.
In this case, only 1 solution is listed, 1x ESM and 0x ExMs,
which is the least number of ESMs and ExMs that meet the
application requirements. Ie. where utilization < 100%.
With NumESM = (auto) and NumExM filter is forced to 2 or 3, then
solutions listed must have 2x or 3x ExMs and the Number of ESMs is
chosen such that the ESM Utilization <100%.
So in this case, there are 4 possible solutions, all using 1x
ESM, and the variations have either total 2x or 3x ExMs.
With NumESM = (auto) and NumExM is not specified, then all
possible combinations of ExMs are listed.
