Vendors

Overview

In Selection Mode, use the Vendors form to specify which vendors' products are listed when viewing a database.

Edit Mode allows the editing, adding and deleting of vendors.

Vendors can specify various Product Zones with one or more countries in each zone.

Selection Mode

The Vendor form is in 'Selection Mode' when the checkboxes are visible.  In 'Selection Mode', specify the active vendors.  Only the active vendors are listed when viewing a database.

 

Edit Mode

To add a new vendor, or delete or edit an existing vendor, begin by selecting ‘Edit Mode’.  The form changes as per below with the 'Add' and 'Delete' buttons enabled. When all edits are done, select ‘Apply’ or ‘OK’ to finalize the changes.

Product Zones

Vendors can specify various Product Zones with one or more countries in each zone.

Specify product zones based on country IDs, else leave blank for all zones.

Format: [Zone1]: [ID0, ID1,…] | [Zone2]: [ID0, ID1,…] | [Zone3]: [ID0, ID1,…]

Example:

• Zone 1: North America (Canada, USA, Mexico)
• Zone 2: Germany, Austria, Switzerland
• Zone 3: USA & Germany

The resulting Product Zones string is: 1: 124, 840, 484 | 2: 276, 40, 756 | 3: 840, 276

The last step is to specify the Product Zone for each product in the 'ProductZone' field in the corresponding database table.
