Cable DC Bus Sequence     

View a Sequence chart of the important profiles for DC Bus cables including the bus voltage seen at the motor (Mot Vz [Vdc]), cable power (Cable DC Bus [W]) and current (Cable DC Bus [A]), etc.

In the example below, a very long cable length of 70m is used to show how the voltage drops for a long cable run, such that the motor does not have enough voltage to meet the application requirements.

 

Zooming in on the chart at 1.03s, it is clear how the voltage drops for a long cable run, such that the motor does not have enough voltage to meet the application requirements. Specicially, at 1.03s, the motor needs 50.8Vdc and only 49.1Vdc is available.
