Vendor Protected Product Data is an option some vendors use to limit access to their product data with a password.
As shown in the image below, two vendors are using this feature. "Vendor 1" product data has already been enabled by the user. "Vendor 2" product data is not enabled, and therefore will not be listed in the database lists. To enable a vendor, click on the item and a window will appear prompting for the vendor's password. To disable a vendor, click on that item and a window will appear asking to confirm that the vendor should be disabled.
