Gearbox Resonance Frequency

Some gearboxes such as type "Wave Strain Gear" are sensitive to resonance frequency.

Therefore, the gearbox should move through its resonance frequency band quickly and not remain in it for too long.

In the program, there are two hard coded values:

  1. Frequency band of ±5Hz of the resonance frequency
  2. Maximum duration of 150ms is allowed in the resonance frequency band before triggering a System Check warning
At any point in the Sequence, if the gearbox operates continuously in its ±5Hz resonance frequency band for longer than 150ms, a System Check warning occurs.

The formula for Resonance Frequency, fn, is:

The calculated resonance frequency should correspond with typical application values per Gearbox Recommended Resonance Frequency.
