Configure the distribution of power flow through each component
in the power group.
Power Calculation
When unchecked, all power calculations are disabled for the
axis/slot. On a shared bus, the device's capacitance is not
considered. Ie. The device is effectively removed from the bus.
Disabling the power calculations can be used for scenatio analysis,
for example, how different axes affect the power group
calculations. more...
Infeed Power Distribution
- Continuous Power
- Divided equally
- In a system with two drives, Drive 1 and Drive 2 each share 50%
of the system continuous power requirement
- Proportional to continuous power rating
- If Drive 1 has twice the continuous rating of Drive 2, then
Drive 1 and Drive 2 bear 66% and 33% respectively of the system
continuous power requirement
- Peak Power
- Same as continuous power
- System peak power requirement
- Sets the application system peak power requirement as the peak
power requirement for each drive/infeed
Bleeder Power Distribution
- Continuous Power
- Divided equally
- In a system with two bleeders, Bleeder 1 and Bleeder 2 each
share 50% of the system continuous bleeder power requirement
- Proportional to continuous power rating
- If Bleeder 1 has twice the continuous rating of Bleeder 2, then
Bleeder 1 and Bleeder 2 bear 66% and 33% respectively of the system
continuous bleeder power requirement
- Proportional to resistor current
- Based on resistor current (Vdc/R)
- Put another way, inversely proportional to resistor ohms
- Peak Power
- Same as continuous power
- System peak power requirement
- Sets the application system peak power requirement as the peak
power requirement for each bleeder
